Governor’s ex-adviser on higher education passes away

Karachi: A former adviser to Sindh Governor on higher education, Shaikh Abdul Wahab, passed away on Monday. His ‘Namaz-i-Janaza’ offered after Maghrib prayers at Masjid-i-Darveshia at Sindhi Muslim Society here, which was largely attended. Amongst others Vice Chancellors, educationists, senior bureaucrats attended the prayers.

The Governor Sindh, Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan, has expressed deep sorrow and grief at the demise of Shaikh Abdul Wahab. The Governor further stated that his services would be long remembered. Shaikh Abdul Wahab was one of the premier Muslims Students studied at NED Engineering College, prior to independence of Pakistan. He had also served as Federal Secretary for Water and Power.
