Gulistan Spinning Mills Announces Annual General Meeting to Address Key Matters

Karachi, Gulistan Spinning Mills Limited has released a notice of its upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled to take place in Karachi on June 24, 2023. The meeting aims to discuss and resolve important matters concerning the company’s operations and financial status. Shareholders and members are encouraged to attend and participate in the decision-making process.

The agenda for the AGM includes the confirmation of the minutes from the previous Annual General Meeting, slated to be reviewed and approved by attendees. Additionally, participants will receive, assess, and adopt the audited financial statements for the financial year that concluded on June 30, 2021. These statements will be accompanied by relevant reports from both the directors and auditors of the company. Importantly, the endorsement of the 2020 audited accounts will also be sought from the members of the company.

Another critical agenda item is the appointment of auditors for the next financial year, covering 2021-2022. The current auditors, M/s Malik Haroon Shahid Safdar & Co, Chartered Accountants, are eligible for reappointment and have expressed their willingness to continue their role as auditors. The shareholders will have an opportunity to deliberate on this matter and fix the remuneration for the auditors.

Furthermore, it has been announced that the share transfer books of Gulistan Spinning Mills Limited will remain closed from June 17, 2023, to June 24, 2023. During this period, which includes both dates, no transfer of shares will be accepted for registration.
