Health Minister Salman Rafique Conducts Surprise Visit to Kalar Kahar Trauma Center

Kalar Kahar, In an unannounced inspection, Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique visited the Kalar Kahar Trauma Center at the THQ Hospital to assess the facility’s condition and the quality of medical services provided.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, during his visit, Minister Rafique was accompanied by the Medical Superintendent of the Trauma Center, the CEO of Chakwal, and Assistant Commissioner Sahil Cheema, among other faculty members. The Minister personally interacted with patients and discussed facility upgrades with the hospital management. He highlighted the previous government’s neglect of the center and mentioned plans for its improvement initiated during Mian Shahbaz Sharif’s tenure. Rafique emphasized the urgent need to address the shortfall of consultants, nurses, and paramedical staff at the trauma center, which he noted serves a critical role for the surrounding population.
