IG Punjab Allocates Funds for Health Welfare of Police Personnel and Their Families

Lahore, In a concerted effort to support the health needs of police employees and their families, Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, has allocated additional funds for medical expenses. This initiative aims to cover various health-related costs for personnel across multiple districts, including Lahore, ensuring that police families receive the necessary medical support.

According to Punjab Police, the allocated funds include a distribution of 700,000 rupees for the treatment of specific medical conditions affecting police personnel and their families. For instance, Muhammad Ramzan from Chung Training College received financial aid for his wife’s cancer treatment, and Sub-Inspector Khalid Javed was granted funds for a leg fracture treatment. Other beneficiaries include Constable Muhammad Irfan and Constable Muhammad Waqas, who received support for backbone issues and medical expenses for Waqas’s wife, respectively.

Further illustrating the scope of this welfare initiative, retired Inspector Muhammad Masood was assisted with psychiatric treatment costs, and Constables Asif Mahmood and Muhammad Masood from Rawalpindi were provided funds for their families’ medical expenses. Dr. Anwar highlighted the importance of supervisory officers maintaining a proactive approach in facilitating and supporting the health needs of their staff, encouraging a culture of care within the force.
