IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Boosts Support for Health Welfare of Police Families

Lahore: In a continued effort to support the health needs of police employees and their families, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has released an additional 11 lakh rupees for the treatment of children suffering from serious diseases. This initiative is part of a broader commitment to enhance the welfare of personnel across various districts, including Lahore.

According to Punjab Police, this latest disbursement targeted several families in need. Constable Saqib Mahmood of Sargodha police received 250,000 rupees for his daughter’s blood cancer treatment. Traffic Warden Muhammad Asif was allocated 200,000 rupees for his daughter’s leg surgery, while Junior Clerk Atif Ali received the same amount for his daughter’s hand surgery. Injured Constable Muhammad Rafiq from Khanewal was granted 250,000 rupees for his own medical care. Additionally, ASI Muhammad Shehbaz and Sanitary Worker Akram Masih each received 100,000 rupees for the treatment of their sons’ medical conditions. Sub-Inspector Ahsan Ijaz was also provided with 100,000 rupees for his toddler son’s kidney treatment.

The funds were released following thorough scrutiny and approval by the Welfare Management Committee, ensuring that the allocations were both necessary and justified. Dr. Anwar emphasized the importance of using available resources effectively to continue improving the health and welfare of police employees and their dependents.
