Lahore, In a significant development aimed at enhancing public service delivery, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, inaugurated the Police Khidmat Markaz Liaqat Bagh in Rawalpindi. The facility is designed to provide various essential services under one roof, streamlining processes for citizens and strengthening community policing efforts.
According to Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, accompanied by senior officials including IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and RPO Rawalpindi Babar Sarfraz Alpa, launched the center on Tuesday night. The Khidmat Markaz offers a range of services including issuance of character certificates, police verification, tenant registration, copies of FIRs, and driving license transactions.
During the inauguration, RPO Rawalpindi briefed on the amenities available to the public at the Khidmat Markaz, highlighting that the center is equipped to provide 20 different facilities. IG Punjab inspected the various sections of the center, expressing satisfaction with its state-of-the-art upgrades and commending the efforts of CPO Syed Khalid Hamdani, who detailed the construction and renovation processes.
Dr. Anwar reiterated the commitment of Punjab Police to community-centric policing, emphasizing the importance of such centers in fostering relations between the police and the community. The event also included a review of the ongoing construction works of the Safe City Project in Rawalpindi, with SSP Operations Flight Lieutenant (retd) Hafiz Kamran Asghar briefing the IG on the progress. Dr. Anwar instructed that the development work should meet high standards and be completed within the designated timelines.
