Islamabad, The Inspector General of Police (IGP) for Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, conducted a public forum at the Central Police Office, where he addressed and issued directives to resolve citizens’ and police officers’ issues on the spot. During the event, the IGP emphasized the importance of handling public grievances with diligence and issued show-cause notices to officers failing in their duties.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the IGP’s ‘Khuli Katchery’ was an opportunity for public engagement where issues ranging from police negligence to land grabbing were discussed. Rizvi reiterated the department’s commitment to transparency and meritocracy in addressing public concerns. He directed all sub-divisional police officers (SDPOs) and station house officers (SHOs) to maintain designated office hours strictly for public dealings, ensuring the prompt and fair resolution of issues. This initiative aligns with ongoing efforts to improve police responsiveness and uphold justice within the community.
