India Accused of Promoting Racial Superiority and Discrimination Against Minorities

Islamabad, A recent report accuses India, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, of preaching racial superiority and fostering hatred towards minorities, with a particular focus on Muslims.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the report, released in observance of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, criticizes the current administration for operating under a Hindutva ideology, promoting caste-based and religious discrimination. The document asserts that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)-backed government employs terror tactics to intimidate religious minorities throughout the country and highlights the Hindu caste system as a longstanding form of racial discrimination.

The report elaborates on how caste-based discrimination remains entrenched in Indian society, perpetuating cruel and degrading treatment of millions. It points out that individuals from lower castes continue to suffer exploitation by their upper-caste counterparts. Furthermore, it references international reports indicating the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s governance has exacerbated conditions for Muslims, Christians, Dalits, and Sikhs.

Highlighting a concerning rise in hate speech, the report notes that Hindu nationalists, including BJP leaders, have made calls for the genocide of Muslims. It also emphasizes the plight of Kashmiris, describing them as victims of Modi’s policies characterized by fascism and racism. The report concludes by condemning the systemic violence and suppression faced by religious minorities in India and in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, labeling India as an apartheid state under Modi’s rule.
