Indian Forces Kill Two in Chhattisgarh Operation

Raipur, Two youths were killed by Indian security forces during a cordon and search operation in the forested area of Koranjed-Bandepara, within the jurisdiction of Madded police station in Bijapur district, Chhattisgarh.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the operation led to the deaths of two individuals identified by Indian police as Maoists. The deceased were named as divisional committee member Manila Poonem and Manglu Kudiam. Bijapur Superintendent of Police Jitendra Kumar Yadav confirmed the recovery of the bodies, stating they were found during the search operations following the encounter.

This incident adds to a growing number of fatal encounters in the region, with the total reported deaths of Maoists by Indian forces reaching 118 this year. The Maoists, active in several parts of India, have been demanding independence and opposing what they describe as Indian hegemony.
