Indian Soldier Succumbs to Injuries After Poonch Attack

Jammu, An Indian army soldier injured in an attack on military vehicles in Poonch district of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir has died from his injuries. The attack targeted two vehicles, including one from the Indian Air Force, resulting in injuries to five soldiers.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident occurred near Shashidhar on Saturday evening as the vehicles were en route to Sanai Top in the Surankote area. Following the attack, all injured personnel were airlifted to the Command Hospital in Udhampur, where two were reported to be in critical condition. In response, the local Rashtriya Rifles unit initiated a cordon and search operation in the affected area.
