Indian soldier’s death in Jammu barracks raises questions

Jammu, An Indian Army soldier was found dead in what is being described as mysterious circumstances in the Sunjwan area of the contested region of Jammu and Kashmir. The soldier was discovered hanged in his barracks, sparking an investigation into the cause of death.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the deceased soldier, identified as Sukhwinder Singh, a resident of Punjab’s Barnala district, was found lifeless and hanging from a ceiling fan in his army barrack. Singh, who had recently been posted to Sunjwan, was transported to a hospital where he was declared dead.

The incident has prompted inquiries, with officials aiming to ascertain the details surrounding Singh’s demise. This event adds to a series of unsettling occurrences involving military personnel in the region.
