Indian Troops Detain Kashmiri Youth in Bandipora Amid Security Operation

Srinagar, A Kashmiri youth was arrested by Indian troops in the Bandipora district of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), as reported on Friday.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the arrest occurred during a cordon and search operation (CASO) conducted by a joint team comprising the Indian Army, police, and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in the Pathoot area of the district. The Indian authorities have labeled the detained individual as an overground worker for a mujahid organization and allege the recovery of arms and ammunition from his possession as justification for the arrest.

This incident adds to the ongoing tensions and widespread criticisms of the conduct of Indian security forces in the region, where such operations frequently result in accusations of human rights violations.
