India’s anti-Kashmir agenda to be resisted: Zafar Butt

Srinagar, January 11, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement has resumed the mass contact programme, which was suspended in December after police jailed several leaders and party activists including JKSM Chairman, Zafar Akbar Butt.

Zafar Akbar Butt accompanied by leaders including Abdul Qayoom, Meraj-ud-Din, Mohammad Shaban and Aijaz Kashmiri visited Batmaloo, Malrooa HMT, Wadwan, Razwen Beeru, today. During the visit, Zafar Akbar Butt addressed several gatherings.

He appealed people to resist anti-Kashmir agenda of Indian government, aiming to grant citizenship rights to outsiders for changing the demography of the Muslim majority character of the territory.

“We have laid countless and priceless sacrifices since from 1947 for achieving our inalienable right to self-determination,” he said and stressing the need for continuing our peaceful struggle with full determination and commitment to counter India’s anti-Kashmir agenda.

Zafar Akbar Butt also visited the residences of Abdul Wahid Sheikh and Manzoor Zia Dar in Beeru and expressed sympathy with the families over the sad demise of the members.
