Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has strongly condemned the violence against 14-year-old domestic worker Rizwana.
In a statement today, she said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi to take notice of the incident and take steps to provide justice to Rizwana.
The Minister said the government will play its role so that the perpetrators are punished according to the law.
She also termed the incident a shameful and condemnable example of child labour and brutal treatment to children.
