Interim Govt fulfilled needs of ECP regarding free, fair polls: Info Minister

Caretaker Information Minister Murtaza Solangi says interim government fulfilled all needs of Election Commission of Pakistan regarding free, fair and transparent elections in the country.

In an interview to the private Television, he said the dollar has been depreciated to 280 rupees from 400 rupees during the tenure of caretaker setup.

Highlighting the achievements of caretaker setup, he said that there was apprehension regarding the insolvency of the country, but caretaker government steered the country out from the economic crisis and brought stability to the market.

The Minister said crackdown was carried out against power pilferage and recovery of billions of rupees was made possible.

Responding to a question, Murtaza Solangi clarified that cabinet did not make any decision regarding the ban on any social media app.
