Interior Minister Commits to Strengthening Peace Efforts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has pledged comprehensive support to enhance peace and maintain law and order in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, emphasizing the government’s commitment to addressing security challenges in the region.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a meeting with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, Minister Naqvi highlighted the critical need for stability in the province, particularly in light of recent disturbances in Kurram. The discussions centered on the unfortunate loss of lives due to a land dispute in Kurram, which was exacerbated by misrepresentations of the conflict, leading to heightened tensions.

Both leaders agreed on the necessity of developing a multilateral joint strategy to prevent such incidents in the future and to counteract external influences that threaten regional peace. The Interior Minister reiterated the government’s dedication to bolstering the law and order framework throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including in Kurram, to ensure the safety and security of its citizens.
