IPP expresses concern over increase in hr violations in IOK

Srinagar, November 16, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Islamic Political Party (IPP) has expressed concern over the increase in gross human rights violations at the hands of Indian forces in the territory.

The party spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that India had invoked draconian and laws like Disturbed Area Act, Armed Forces Special Powers Act and Public Safety Act in occupied Kashmir for oppressing and suppressing people.

He said that New Delhi was using all means to crush the ongoing liberation movement but it would never succeed in its nefarious designs as the people were determined to continue the ongoing peaceful movement till taking it to its logical conclusion.

The spokesman said that despite innocent people, youth, minors and students were arrested, tortured and detained to spoil their future but the International community had become a mute spectator. He further said that people are Kashmir were human beings and deserved human treatment.

He appealed to the international human rights organizations and International Committee of Red Cross to come forward and save Kashmir from Indians unabated repression. He also appealed the people not to be part of the fraud election as participating in such drama was betrayal with martyrs.
