Islamabad Citizens to Benefit from New Interior Ministry Initiatives

Islamabad, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced five major initiatives aimed at improving services for the residents of Islamabad. During a visit to the headquarters of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Naqvi outlined plans to establish several new agencies including the Capital Emergency Services and the Capital Waste Management Company, aimed at making Islamabad a model city.

According to Press Information Department, the new initiatives are designed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of services provided to the public. These include the integration of existing emergency services such as Ambulance 1122 and the Fire Brigade into a unified Capital Emergency Services, which will operate under a central control room equipped with GPS tracking to improve response times.

Naqvi also emphasized the importance of training for emergency services staff and announced the construction of additional Emergency Service 1122 stations in Islamabad. Recruitment for these services will be merit-based, and the fleet of ambulances will be expanded to better meet the needs of the city’s residents. These steps are part of a broader effort by the Interior Ministry to ensure that Islamabad’s infrastructure and emergency response capabilities are state-of-the-art.
