Islamabad Focuses on Youth Digital Skills Development, Minister of State Shaza Announces

Islamabad, In a recent virtual meeting with representatives from the Asia Internet Coalition, led by Managing Director Jeff Paine, Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja underscored the government’s commitment to digital transformation, particularly in developing the digital skills of the youth.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions during the meeting covered a range of topics including digitalisation, the responsible use of social media platforms, digital rights, and e-safety. Minister Khawaja emphasized the government’s focus on enhancing the digital capabilities of young Pakistanis as a cornerstone of their overall development strategy.

Minister Khawaja also highlighted the importance of responsible usage of social media platforms, stressing it as a crucial element for ensuring a safe digital environment. The government’s ongoing initiatives aim to equip the youth with necessary skills to navigate and utilize digital platforms effectively and responsibly.
