JKML condemns continued detention of Hurriyet leaders

Srinagar, April 07, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML) has strongly condemned the continued illegal detention of Hurriyet leaders and activists demanding their immediate release.

The JKML General Secretary, Abdul Ahad Parra, addressing public gatherings in different areas of Badgam district, said that the puppet administration was victimizing the Hurriyet leaders and activists including Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtoo, Masarrat Aalam Butt, Feroz Ahmad Khan, Muhammad Rafiq Ganai, Hakeem Showkat Ahmed, Malik Ghulam Nabi and Moulvi Sajjad Ahmed.

He said that the occupation authorities were involving Masarrat Aalam Butt in fake cases to prolong his illegal detention. He said that the ongoing liberation movement could not be stopped through such tactics as the people of Kashmir were determined to take it to logical conclusion.

Abdul Ahad Para appealed to the world human rights bodies to put pressure on India to release all illegally detained Kashmiris without any further delay.
