JRL calls for complete shutdown in IOK on August 26-27

Srinagar, August 17, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik, today, called for a two-day shutdown on August 26 and 27 against the onslaught on the Article 35-A of the Indian Constitution, which guarantees special rights and privileges of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

The petitions seeking repeal of the Article 35-A have been listed for hearing in the Indian Supreme Court on August 27. A three member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra and Justices AM Khanwilkar and DY Chandrachud will hear the petitions.
