Education Minister Commits to Addressing Minority Community Concerns in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Peshawar, Provincial Education Minister Faisal Khan Turkai met with a delegation led by Bishop Humphrey Sarfaraz Peter to discuss the educational needs and challenges faced by minority communities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The meeting focused on issues related to missionary schools and the provision of equitable educational opportunities.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Minister Turkai assured the delegation of his department’s commitment to solving problems related to the minority community, particularly in missionary schools. He discussed the government’s plans to enhance infrastructure and resources for these institutions and detailed the upcoming e-transfer policy, which includes provisions for minorities and women. The meeting also addressed the introduction of skill development programs in schools to better prepare students for the market’s demands.

Education Minister Turkai reaffirmed the government’s dedication to inclusivity in education and announced the appointment of a focal person to liaise with the minority community on educational issues. He expressed optimism about ongoing reforms and the role of political governance in fostering development in the province.
