Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Announces Enhanced Benefits for Workers

Peshawar, On International Labor Day, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, announced a series of measures aimed at improving the welfare of workers across the province, including doubling their current benefit packages and enhancing wage protections.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Chief Minister outlined a comprehensive plan to ensure better compensation for workers and to accelerate the distribution of newly built residential flats. He confirmed the appointment of a Wage Magistrate to enforce minimum wage laws and mandated that all workers receive their wages through bank accounts to facilitate closer monitoring and transparency.

During a special ceremony held in Peshawar, Gandapur also addressed the need for broader sectoral development and legislative reforms to support the working class. He announced the transfer of 177.5 million rupees for the educational expenses of industrial workers’ children, benefiting 22,354 students.

The Chief Minister emphasized his administration’s commitment to the working class and announced future initiatives, including more affordable electricity for industries, to improve the overall working conditions and benefits for industrial workers.
