Kachhi District Health Committee Addresses Medical Shortages and Staff Absenteeism

Kachhi: The District Health Committee in Kachhi, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Captain Retired Jameel Ahmed Baloch, convened to tackle pressing issues within the local health sector, including staff absenteeism and shortages of medicines and ambulances.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the meeting, which included key health officials like the District Health Officer Dr. Ayaz Ahmed Qureshi and Medical Superintendents from several hospitals, focused on the urgent need to enhance health services across the district. The committee directed immediate action against absent staff members and stressed the necessity of ensuring a reliable supply of medicines and ambulances to prevent potential health service disruptions.

Deputy Commissioner Baloch emphasized the importance of active participation by all health department staff to mitigate the impact of absenteeism, particularly affecting patients from remote areas. He also ordered the suspension and salary deductions for absent employees, alongside issuing show cause notices, to enforce accountability and improve patient care standards.
