Kachhi Health Committee Confronts Staff Absences and Medical Shortages

Kachhi: The District Health Committee, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Captain Retd. Jameel Ahmed Baloch, convened to address critical issues facing the health sector, including absentee staff and shortages in medical supplies.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the committee reviewed the performance of the health department, noting significant gaps in service delivery, particularly in the availability of medicines and ambulances.

To mitigate these challenges, the committee issued directives to improve the supply of essential health commodities and enforce staff attendance rigorously. Actions discussed included the suspension and salary deduction of habitually absent staff, alongside the issuance of show cause notices, emphasizing that uninterrupted healthcare services are vital for the community, especially those in remote areas.
