Karachi: Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad has demanded a swift investigation into an incident at Civil Hospital where a falling ceiling fragment injured Iqra Awan, a public news reporter. He criticized the hospital administration for not providing immediate aid to the injured reporter.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Deputy Mayor Murad has instructed the Medical Superintendent of Civil Hospital to submit a report detailing the negligence and carelessness exhibited by the doctors and paramedical staff involved in the incident. He emphasized that such negligence is unacceptable and assured that measures would be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.
