KCCI sets March 31 deadline for membership renewal

Karachi, The Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has issued a directive for all its members to renew their memberships by March 31, 2024. Iftikhar Ahmed Sheikh, the President of KCCI, emphasized the importance of this deadline to prevent membership lapses and potential inconveniences.

According to Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the membership renewal process for the fiscal year 2024-25 is in progress, with a firm deadline set for March 31, as mandated by the Trade Organizations Act 2013. The President highlighted various communication efforts made by KCCI, including letters, emails, and SMS, to remind members of the impending expiration of their memberships. For the first time, KCCI has also integrated a Faysal Bank Cash Counter within its premises to simplify the renewal fee submission process.

Sheikh further warned that failure to renew by the due date would result in the automatic termination of membership. Affected members would then be required to undergo the re-admission procedure to regain KCCI membership. The organization has provided multiple payment options, including online banking, direct bank challan submissions at several designated banks, the Upaisa App, or pay orders at KCCI. These efforts aim to facilitate the timely renewal of memberships, which are crucial for accessing various KCCI-provided benefits, including membership cards and certificates necessary for numerous business activities.
