Kenya and Pakistan Sign MoU to Enhance Trade Relations

Karachi: In a move aimed at strengthening trade ties, a bilateral meeting was held between Mr. Taufeeq Ali Abbassi, Director General of Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA), and Mr. Amb. Daniel Mumina Nganda, Deputy Head of Mission at the Kenya High Commission in Islamabad. The meeting culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate trade between the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Republic of Kenya.

According to a statement by Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority, the bilateral discussions focused on trade facilitation and standardization, among other significant issues of mutual interest. The agreement is expected to pave the way for smoother trade operations between the two nations.

Following the meeting, Mr. Amb. Daniel Mumina Nganda was presented with a shield by Mr. Taufeeq Ali Abbassi as a gesture of goodwill. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Mr. Hanif Janoo, Honorary Counsel of the Republic of Kenya, and Mr. Ashraf Palari, Director CA, South.

Other notable attendees were Mr. Abdul Waheed Memon, Deputy Director Admin, Mr. Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Solangi, Media Incharge, and Mr. Najaf Ali Shah, AVA, who also participated in the discussions.
