Khuzdar Initiates Transition of Illegal Tubewells to Solar Energy

Khuzdar: The Deputy Commissioner’s office in Khuzdar has announced a new initiative by the Government of Balochistan to convert illegal agricultural tubewells to solar energy. This effort is part of a broader push to enhance sustainable agricultural practices within the district.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the Department of Energy is now accepting applications from local citizens interested in transitioning their illegal tubewells to solar power. The application period, set from July 26 to July 29, operates on a first-come, first-served basis, urging all eligible residents of Khuzdar District to apply promptly within the designated timeframe under the specified terms and conditions.

This move is aimed at reducing the illegal use of groundwater and promoting renewable energy sources, which are expected to bring long-term environmental and economic benefits to the agricultural sector of the region.
