Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister Zahir Shah Toro Reviews Medical Services and Announces Economic Relief During Hospital Visits

Peshawar, During a surprise visit to Mardan Medical Complex and District Headquarters Hospital Mardan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Food, Zahir Shah Toro, evaluated the restoration of medical services under the Insaaf Health Card and announced economic measures aimed at providing relief to residents.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Minister Toro expressed commitment to the vision of Imran Khan, founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, highlighting the provincial government’s efforts to continue public health services despite financial constraints. The Insaaf Health Card program, previously halted by the caretaker government, has been reinstated, allowing patients to receive treatment. During his visits, Toro interacted with patients and hospital staff to assess the medical facilities provided.

The Minister also addressed economic relief efforts, noting a reduction in the price of bread as part of the government’s initiative to support the poor and middle class. Prices have been set at 15 rupees for 100 grams of bread and 30 rupees for 200 grams. He underscored the enforcement of these prices, instructing local officials to ensure compliance and take legal action against any violations. Toro emphasized that his party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, is dedicated to practical service rather than merely political rhetoric.
