Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pledges Enhanced Support for Special Children’s Education and Welfare

Peshawar, The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, through Advisor for Social Welfare and Development of Women Mashal Azam Yousafzai, has reaffirmed its commitment to intensify support for the welfare and education of special children in the region. This promise was made during the annual prize distribution ceremony at the Special Education Complex in Mardan, which highlighted the various talents of special children.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the ceremony was attended by various dignitaries and stakeholders, including Member Provincial Assembly Tufail Anjum and Director Social Welfare Rafiq Mohmand. Advisor Yousafzai praised the efforts of parents and educators in nurturing the talents of these children and outlined new initiatives to enhance their educational facilities, including admissions with hostel facilities for matriculated students and expanding educational offerings in Mardan to the intermediate level.

Additionally, the government plans to address the needs of out-of-school special children by securing educational buildings for them and gathering data to aid in policy making. New transport facilities and additional support measures were also announced to further aid these children’s education and mobility.
