Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan released the latest Karachi Interbank Offered Rate (KIBOR) data on Thursday, revealing a subtle shift in the country’s financial landscape. The KIBOR rates, which serve as a benchmark for lending between banks, showed slight variances across different tenors.

The data highlights the bid and offer rates for various tenors, with the one-week tenor showing a bid of 11.93 and an offer of 12.43. The two-week tenor was marginally lower, with a bid rate of 11.90 and an offer of 12.40.

In the longer-term tenors, the one-month rate stood at a bid of 11.86 and an offer of 12.36. The three-month tenor showed a bid of 11.85 and an offer of 12.10, while the six-month tenor recorded a bid of 11.84 and an offer of 12.09.

The nine-month and one-year tenors exhibited slightly lower bid rates of 11.80 and 11.78, respectively, with offer rates at 12.30 and 12.28.

These rates, published by the State Bank of Pakistan, are integral to the country’s banking operations, reflecting the cost of borrowing among financial institutions. The publication of these figures provides a key indicator of economic conditions and market expectations.
