Karachi, Following the killing of industrialist Asif Sulaiman Balwani during a robbery in Defense, the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) has issued a call for the government to bolster security measures for businessmen and industrialists. The association emphasized the need for immediate action to curb rising street crime and protect economic contributors in the city.
According to Korangi Association of Trade and Industry, President Johar Kandhari, Deputy Patron-in-Chief Zubair Chhaya, and other members voiced their condemnation of the incident, highlighting the growing threat of street crime and its impact on local business operators. The organization underscored the urgency of addressing these security challenges, which pose a significant threat not only to individual safety but also to the economic stability of Karachi.
The association’s leaders have urged the Sindh government, police, and law enforcement agencies to take decisive steps to ensure the safety of lives and property. They called for the immediate apprehension and prosecution of those responsible for Balwani’s death, emphasizing the need for a secure environment that would allow business activities to continue without fear.
