Lahore, In a significant development that promises to ease travel for residents, Provincial Minister for Construction and Communications Malik Soheb Ahmed Bharath announced the early opening of the main carriageway on the Southern Loop Three Ring Road, scheduled a day before Eid. This move is anticipated to significantly improve connectivity and reduce travel times for commuters in the region.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, Minister Bharath detailed the progress of the construction, noting the rapid completion of the asphalt laying process on the Southern Loop 3 of the ring road. The project, executed under the supervision of PRRA, Nespak, and FWO, has seen the completion of 10 km on the right side of the Raiwind to Lake City Road carriageway, with an additional 5 km on the left side also nearing completion.
The minister assured that the construction of the remaining 5 kilometers is proceeding swiftly and is expected to be finalized within the next two months. This development comes as part of the Punjab government’s efforts, under the direction of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, to enhance transportation infrastructure and provide superior travel facilities to the public.
The early opening of the Southern Loop Three Ring Road marks a crucial step towards fulfilling the government’s commitment to improving the daily lives of its citizens through infrastructure development.
