Lahore, Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, convened a meeting with members of the assembly from various districts to discuss the political landscape and development challenges facing their constituencies. The assembly members presented the needs and issues of their areas, focusing on infrastructure and public services improvements.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the meeting addressed several key development projects and initiatives. Chief Minister Sharif emphasized the implementation of sustainable solid waste management systems across divisional headquarters and major cities through public-private partnerships. She expressed a commitment to ensuring clean and well-maintained streets in every neighborhood.
The Chief Minister outlined major infrastructure projects including the completion of a water supply and drainage project in Sahiwal and the construction of the Multan Wahari Expressway, which will benefit Multan, Jahanian, Wahari, and other cities. Additionally, enhancements in healthcare facilities were discussed, such as the upcoming addition of a cath lab and other cardiology services at a hospital in Sialkot.
Attendees of the meeting included notable local representatives such as MNA Chaudhry Iftikhar Nazir of Jahanian, MPA Qasim Nadeem of Sahiwal, MPA Muhammad Shoaib Siddiqui of Lahore, and MPA Khurram Khan Vark of Sialkot. Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Senator Pervez Rasheed, and Special Assistant Zeeshan Malik were also present, underscoring the high-level focus on addressing these regional development issues.
