LCCI Pledges to Foster Economic Growth Through Enhanced Public-Private Collaboration

Lahore: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) announced on Tuesday its commitment to bolster efforts aimed at achieving economic excellence by deepening collaboration with the government. During discussions with multiple industry delegations, LCCI leaders emphasized the importance of sharing sector-specific research to strengthen public-private partnerships.

LCCI President Faheem-ur-Rehman Saigol, along with Senior Vice President Tanveer Ahmad Sheikh and Vice President Khurram Lodhi, engaged with delegations from various associations, including Women Entrepreneurs led by Aamna Randhawa, Transporters Association led by Asmatullah Khan Niazi, Truck Trollers Association led by Lala Yasir, the Marketing Association of Pakistan (MAP), and the Pakistan Grinding Mills Association led by Chaudhry Iftikhar Bashir.

The meetings addressed a spectrum of issues such as regulatory reforms, taxation policies, infrastructure development, and skill enhancement, highlighting the LCCI’s role in bridging the gap between the business community and the government. Delegations urged the chamber to further intensify its efforts to foster an enabling environment for trade and industry.

Women Entrepreneurs emphasized the necessity of inclusive economic growth, advocating for initiatives that facilitate access to finance, skill development, and marketing opportunities for women-led businesses. The Transporters and Truck Trollers Associations underscored the need for investment to modernize Pakistan’s logistics network to enhance trade efficiency.

The Marketing Association of Pakistan called for a national strategy to advance digital marketing and boost Pakistan’s global trade presence. The Pakistan Grinding Mills Association highlighted challenges such as energy costs and raw material shortages, seeking stable industrial policies for sustainability.

LCCI President Saigol reaffirmed the chamber’s commitment to advocating for industry concerns and facilitating dialogue between policymakers and the business sector. Vice Presidents Sheikh and Lodhi emphasized the chamber’s proactive approach in shaping policies to attract investment and enhance competitiveness.

The LCCI assured delegations that their proposals would be integrated into upcoming policy recommendations and discussions with government authorities, aiming to unlock Pakistan’s economic potential through collaboration and business-friendly governance.
