Karachi, Mahmood Textile Mills Limited, a leading textile company, announces its commitment to green energy and environment through the installation of a 4.25 MW solar power plant at its Muzaffargarh units. With this expansion, the company now boasts a total capacity of 12 MW in solar power plants across its units. The solar energy infrastructure incorporates innovative technologies, such as half-cell PV and cloud-based monitoring systems, contributing significantly to socioeconomic development and reducing carbon emissions by 27,375 mtCO2e.
In addition to its renewable energy endeavors, Mahmood Textile Mills Limited has also expanded its spinning division (Unit-6) by capitalizing on 21,888 spindle machinery. This state-of-the-art machinery features real-time efficiency and load data, enhancing product quality and increasing overall productivity. The advanced technology and power-efficient machinery are expected to contribute an additional $14 million to the company’s top line. Moreover, this expansion will generate employment opportunities for approximately 200 individuals, stimulating local economic growth.
