Karachi, November 16, 2012 (PPI-OT): The media report regarding the aircraft going off the runway at BBIAP Islamabad is totally baseless and incorrect. The unnecessary hype was created and the public was misled. The media should have inquired about the actual incident from relevant quarters of CAA before flashing the incorrect news. The actual incident is as under :

On 16th November 2012, PIA605 ATR-42 from Islamabad to Gilgit, ETD 0700PST, started take off roll at 0714 PST. During take-off roll, the pilot aborted take-off due to technical reasons and taxied to parking stand.
