Meezan Bank Limited Allots Shares under Employees Share Option Scheme

Karachi, Meezan Bank Limited, one of Pakistan’s leading Islamic banks, announces the successful allotment of shares under its Employees Share Option Scheme (ESOS). The vesting period for the 1st tranche of the scheme was completed on May 31, 2023. As a result, 1,628,873 ordinary shares of Meezan Bank Limited have been credited to the respective CDC-sub accounts of eligible employees on July 12, 2023.

The Employees Share Option Scheme (ESOS) is designed to reward and incentivize employees by providing them with the opportunity to acquire shares in the bank. Eligible employees who have exercised their options for the 1st Tranche of ESOS will now become shareholders of Meezan Bank Limited.

The allotment of shares signifies the bank’s commitment to recognizing and appreciating the contributions of its employees. Meezan Bank Limited believes in aligning the interests of its employees with the long-term success and growth of the organization. The allotment of shares was carried out in compliance with the provisions of Section 83A of the Companies Act, 2017.
