Jammu, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President and candidate for the Islamabad-Rajouri parliamentary constituency, Mehbooba Mufti, emphasized that the current Lok Sabha polls in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir are primarily about the restoration of rights revoked on August 5, 2019.
According to Kashmir Media Service, during her campaign in the Mandi tehsil areas of Poonch district, Mufti highlighted that the foremost concern for voters this election cycle is the reinstatement of basic rights previously stripped from the people of Jammu and Kashmir. She articulated that while typical electoral issues like electricity, water, road connectivity, and education remain important, the overriding theme of this election transcends these topics and centers on rectifying the injustices of the past.
Mufti has been actively campaigning across the region, engaging with constituents through public gatherings and a road show that traversed from Mandi to Loran. Her message resonates with a constituency eager for a representative who will strongly advocate for their rights in the national parliament.
