Merit Packaging Ltd Reports Loss Amid No Dividend Declaration

Karachi, Merit Packaging Ltd (MERIT), part of the paper and board sector, faced challenges with an EPS of Rs. (0.68) for the year ending June 2023. Despite the downturn, MERIT’s shares saw significant trading activity, trading at Rs. 10.35, closely aligning with its daily weighted average of Rs. 10.36. The company, with a trading volume of 10,293,500 shares, experienced fluctuations between Rs. 13.95 and Rs. 11.5. Since its 1985 listing, Merit Packaging has been striving to overcome industry hurdles, supported by a substantial paid-up capital of Rs. 1,999.58 million.
