Islamabad, May 12, 2014 (PPI-OT): Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf called upon masses to follow the teachings of Hazrat Ali (AS) in true letter and spirit to fight terrorism and sectarianism. The Minister was addressing to birthday conference of Hazrat Ali (AS) at a local hotel in Rawalpindi on Monday. The event was organized by Markazi Iman Hussain Council.
“There is no other personality that could be compared with Hazrat Ali (AS) in knowledge, wisdom and bravery”, the minster added. He said martyrdom was the distinction of Ahle-Bait as they had tendered sacrifices for the real cause of Islam whenever it was threatened by any void power.
Underscoring various aspects of the life of Hazrat Ali (AS), the Minister said that he always fought for the cause of Islam and the oppressed people irrespective of their religion.
Dr. Ghaznafar Mehndi, Chairman Markazi Imam Hussain Council, Sahibzada Muztaba Gul, Pir of Mora Sharif, Allama Abu -Ul- Hssan Mosavi, Allama Azhar Bukhari, Sayed Abbas Naqvi, Sardad Taj Ahmed, Mualana Hafiz Muhammad Iqbal Rizvi, Ehsand Kabria, Syed Nazir Bukhari, Rukia Shah Bibi and Kanwal Zahara also addressed the conference.
The Minister said he held meetings with Ulamas of different schools of thought and leaders of minorities all over the country for the promotion of peace, tolerance and unity in the society.
