Minister chairs meeting regarding New Scheme of extension of Federal Government Polyclinic Argentina Park

Islamabad, July 09, 2014 (PPI-OT): Minister of State Barrister Usman Ibrahim of Capital Administration and Development Division chaired a meeting regarding New Scheme of extension of Federal Government Polyclinic Argentina Park at CA and DD today.

Minister of State Usman Ibrahim convened the meeting to take up the issue of land acquisition for the extension of Federal Government Polyclinic. Polyclinic does require another building as it has been catering the demands of health facilities of twin cities. So it is high time to extend the Polyclinic and there should be no further delay for this process, said the Minister of State.

A five storey building would be constructed on the 2.5 acres of land of Argentina Park in phase I, with two basements and a spacious parking lot. PC II for the project has been approved, and the total cost of the project is 1000 million rupees. Old building of the Polyclinic would be reconstructed in phase II.

Minister of State made sure that this land area would be sufficient for the Polyclinic and the transition/transfer to the new location of the Polyclinic would be a smooth one. He further informed that Prime Minister would lay the cornerstone of the project.

In the end, he gave directives to complete the ongoing projects of Nursing School and Lady Doctor’s Hospital within the stipulated time period as well. The meeting was attended by the Secretary Capital Administration and Development Division, officials of CDA and Polyclinic.
