Textile Minister Abbas Khan Afridi’s salary will go to Internally Displaced Persons fund till he holds office

Islamabad, July 09, 2014 (PPI-OT): The federal government is fully aware of the difficulties faced by the internally displaced families of North Waziristan and will extend all possible assistance and support to them in this hour of need. This was stated by Federal Minister for Textile Industry Abbas Khan Afridi while talking to FATA delegates.

The Federal Minister stated that supporting IDPs is a national responsibility and he would always be at the service of the tribesmen. The Federal Minister’s salary will go to the IDP fund till he holds office. Previously the minister was not drawing salary from the national exchequer nor is availing any perks and privileges.

The Minister acknowledged the sacrifices of the people of FATA and reiterated that they are the guardians of the national frontiers. The state honors their loyalty and commitment towards Pakistan and will leave no stone unturned for their facilitation and rehabilitation.

Despite being in a quagmire of instability, the nation has much strength that keeps it sailing in crucial circumstances. The minister asserted that this time again the nation will emerge victorious putting an end to violence and terrorism. The delegates apprised the minister of their problems and expressed hope that government would come up to their expectations.
