Minister Directs Project Officials to ensure Actual Performance

Islamabad: Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions, Engineer Shaukatullah directed the projects officials to take measures for the real achievement of project objectives. This was stated by him in a meeting at his office on Wednesday, where he was briefed about the performance of the “Economic Revitalization of KP and FATA Project”

The Federal Minister was given a detailed presentation by the project director, Mohammad Faheem, on the strategic objectives, intervention sectors and future planning of the project. He was told that this project aims to provide employment and livelihood opportunities to the residents of FATA.

Engineer Shaukatullah extended many suggestions for the best utilization of project funds and said that public would assess them on the basis of actual work done on the ground. Thus’ they need to focus on the implementation of project objectives in a way as to facilitate every citizen with fair criteria and provide relief according to formula based on justice. He also recommended some amendments to the steering and monitoring system of the project so that hundred percent transparency is guaranteed. At the end of the meeting, the Minister was ensured that all the suggestions would be considered and every step would be taken to materialize the goals of the project.
