Karachi, January 04, 2017 (PPI-OT):Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Control Mukesh Kumar Chawla, while taking notice of the news that certain female drug peddlers group are operating in Karachi, has directed the officers concerned to be more vigilant and keep an eye on their activities and nab them as soon as possible. This he said while presiding over a meeting in his office here today.
Secretary E and T Dr. Mansoor Abbas Rizvi and DG E and T Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui also attended the meeting. He said that it was really shocking to hear that the females were also indulged in transportation of the narcotics that was a heinous crime and to counter them we had to be very active.
Minister for E and T Mukesh Kumar Chawla directed DG E and T to form special task force to arrest these groups and to take all measures to eradicate drugs smuggling and sale of illicit liquor in the province. Director General Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui informed the minister for E and T regarding recovery of the taxes and steps to foil the nefarious activities of the drug peddlers.
