Karachi, May 05, 2023 (PPI-OT):Provincial Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has paid tribute to the firefighters on International Firefighters Day and said that the services of firefighters are considered very important all over the world and our firefighters also deserves a tribute. He said that even in adverse conditions, our firefighters are working with great passion. Nasir Shah said that increasing the number of fire stations in Karachi is inevitable and the Sindh government is taking necessary steps in this regard.
He added that provision of modern equipment for fire fighters is very important for which special funds should be allocated. He said that it is necessary to provide fire fighters with modern safety equipment and other facilities, a big city like Karachi needs an organized fire brigade. He added that all measures should be taken to develop the fire brigade system on modern lines and there is also a need to establish institutions in the city where necessary training can be given to fire fighters.
