Minister Shaza Fatima Highlights the Importance of Data for Service Delivery

Islamabad, In a recent meeting with Haroon Kanth, the Country Director of Teradata Global Consulting Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd, Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, emphasized the critical role of data availability in today’s digital age. The discussion revolved around the significance of data for informed decision-making, the development of a stable database for enhancing service delivery, and the potential for boosting IT exports and the telecom sector’s growth.

According to Press Information Department, Minister Shaza Fatima articulated the necessity of a credible database for the capacity building of government organizations, highlighting the foundational role of accurate and accessible data in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of services offered to the public. She called upon Teradata, a leader in data and analytics, to collaborate with the Ministry of IT and Telecom to foster advancements in this area.

Haroon Kanth responded positively, assuring that Teradata is prepared to partner with the Government of Pakistan in initiatives that leverage data to drive national development and innovation in the IT and telecommunications sectors. This meeting marks a step forward in the government’s efforts to harness technology and data analytics for better governance and service provision.
