Mirwaiz Calls for Enhanced Religious and Moral Education for Kashmiri Youth

Srinagar: Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, a senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, has urged parents to prioritize the religious and moral education of their children by enrolling them in Darsgah/Maktabs.

According to Kashmir Media Service, during his speech at the annual event at Maseeh-Ul-Ummah in Chandapura, Srinagar, Mirwaiz highlighted the significant role these educational institutions play in fostering ethical values and religious understanding among the youth. He emphasized their importance in grounding young individuals in their cultural and spiritual heritage.

Mirwaiz also noted the establishment of specialized darsgah for female students, ensuring they have a conducive and secure environment for learning. He advocated for the inclusion of the Quran’s translations in the Kashmiri language to enhance accessibility and comprehension of the texts, encouraging a deeper connection with religious teachings. The leader’s call reflects a broader effort to strengthen the moral and spiritual foundation of the next generation in the region.
