Modi Encourages Opposition to Learn “Bulldozer Politics” from UP Chief Minister

Lucknow, At a recent electoral rally in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made controversial remarks suggesting that opposition parties should learn from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on how to use bulldozers effectively in politics. This statement comes amid increasing criticism over the use of bulldozers to demolish properties in several BJP-governed states.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Modi accused the Samajwadi Party and Congress of potentially threatening the Ram temple in Ayodhya, claiming they would “run a bulldozer” over it if they gained power. He provocatively stated that these parties need “tuition from Yogi” on where to apply such tactics appropriately. The term “bulldozer” has gained a metaphorical and literal significance in Indian politics, often used to describe aggressive actions against structures in minority communities, particularly Muslims.

Yogi Adityanath, who has earned the moniker “bulldozer baba” from his supporters, has been both criticized and praised for his stern policies, which include demolishing illegal structures, actions that have disproportionately affected the Muslim community and other marginalized groups.
